Bah Humbug!

Ooops..wrong holiday. wait..here it is - Happy Thanksgiving! Um...no. (I do that every year!) Ahh..here it is -- HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! OK..I have to admit I was sorta, tempted to keep it "bah..humbug", with me not having a Valentine, again, this year. I'm sure some of you find yourself in the same predicament, but I decided against it. Why? Well, because... I have long ago come to terms with the fact that being alone doesn't mean being lonely. Book Review: The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

I have struggled with messiness and clutter most of my life and I have tried all different types of methods. Some methods have worked...somewhat, but this simple method not only works, it's inspiring!! The book is a quick and easy read and it's broken down into simple easy to follow steps, which helps to alleviate any anxiety about where and how to begin. Where this method triumphs, for me at least, is the premise...keep only those things that bring you joy! Why didn't I think of that? She also explains why we shouldn't feel any guilt in getting rid of those things that don't bring joy, which is an area I've always struggled with - especially when it comes to gifts I've received. I also love how she uses her own journey and struggles with organizing, as well as stories from some of her clients. It's helpful to see the transformation. She also has a unique and kind way of relating to her things and her home. Bottom line...I loved this book! So much...
